We encourage every student to ride the bus whenever possible…both to and from school. Cobb County School District offers bus service for students who live outside walking distance. One amazing fact about riding the bus: A STUDENT IS NEVER TARDY IF THEY RIDE THE BUS! So, please, STOP THE FUSS AND RIDE THE BUS!

Morning Arrival: Students may report to classrooms beginning at 7:15 am.  They are considered TARDY if they are not in their seats by 7:45 am.  Announcements begin promptly at 7:45 am.  Any student arriving tardy must be signed in to the front office by a parent or guardian.  A long carpool line is not an excuse for arriving tardy.

Excuse/Doctor's Note:  If you have a doctor's note for your child that excuses their absence, please send those to MountBethelESSupport@cobbk12.org.

Carpool Procedures:  Our carpool line is a ONE WAY RIGHT OF WAY. There is no passing allowed at any time on school property and has distinct right of way rules – and single file is necessary at all times. Do not pass and do not go around cones.

The carpool line goes around the perimeter of the parking lot. It is one-way. Cars should not cut through the middle lane.

Students should only be dropped off through carpool and not on Karls Gate Drive or Princeton Lakes Drive.

Afternoon Dismissal:  Dismissal is our most dangerous time of the day as we move our 1,000+ students safely from school to a variety of locations. This makes strict rules and procedures a non-negotiable.

GoSafe is our afternoon dismissal tool, and must be used to make daily transportation defaults, as well as any afternoon transportation changes. To access GoSafe, the enrolling adult must login to ParentVUE. No transportation changes will be accepted in person, through e-mail, over the phone, or by note. All changes must be made in ParentVUE no later than 1:50 pm.

All early checkouts must be made prior to 1:30 pm.  The front office closes at 1:30 as we begin dismissal procedures.  The doorbell will not be answered from 1:30 until dismissal is complete, allowing our front office staff constant communication with buses, carpool, ASP, and to keep our students safe.
