2021 - 2022 Advanced Content 

Mt. Bethel offers Advanced Math for qualifying 4th and 5th grade students and Advanced English Language Arts and Reading courses for qualifying 5th grade students.  Qualification is determined by an ability measure (CogAT), an achievement measure (Iowa or Milestones EOG) and classroom performance.  Click here for the qualification rubric (NOTE - MBES utilizes Option #2 to determine qualification for AC).

AC programmatic instruction includes accelerated pacing of spiraled material, performance tasks that extend grade-level standards and expectations, and an introduction to above grade-level standards and concepts. Strategies appropriate for advanced learner are incorporated into daily lessons.
