Mission and Vision

Our vision is Empowering Students for Success.

Our mission is Nurturing, Developing, and Challenging the Future.

Beliefs

  • We believe in building respect, relationships, and a culture that nurtures all students.
  • We believe in building experiences and providing opportunities that develop all students.
  • We believe in building a community that supports high expectations, rigorous instruction, and accountability that challenges all students.

Milford Elementary School is located in Marietta, Georgia, a suburban community in the northwest Atlanta metro area. It is one of 68 elementary schools in the Cobb County School District. Milford Elementary School opened its doors to the Milford Community in 1953 initially serving Kindergarten through fifth grade with 10 instructional units. The building now houses 40 classrooms and close to 400 diverse students taught by creative, enthusiastic and committed professionals. Our instructional program includes pre-kindergarten through fifth grades. We believe all students can learn if they are provided with the tools to grow. Our students are capable and, if provided with the opportunities, will be successful.

We are an integral part of a growing and thriving community and work hard to build and maintain strong community partnerships. Parents and families are an integral part of our plan for success. We encourage parent engagement at a very high level and support our parents with in-services, training, and outreach opportunities. We hold our students, staff and community to a very high standard.

At Milford Elementary School, we believe in respect, relationships and a culture that nurtures all students. We believe in providing experiences and opportunities that develop all students equally. We believe in building a community that supports high expectations, rigorous instruction and accountability that challenges all students.

We believe in the power of YET.

It is not that a student cannot it is that they haven't yet.
