Summer Term is an intense session with the normal 16 week Fall/Spring term compressed into 5 weeks. Students should expect to productively participate daily and work approximately 20 hours a week in both online and offline activities to complete all requirements for an A or B (.5 unit) class. Students taking a Y class (1.0 unit) or two .5 unit class (such as Health AND Personal Fitness) should expect to productively participate daily and work approximately 40 hours a week in both online and offline activities to complete all requirements for the class. Students may work ahead but must meet all coursework deadlines as prescribed in the Course Schedule found in each Cobb Virtual Academy course.
The Cobb Virtual Academy does not administer early testing and there are no makeup dates for final exams and/or EOC testing. These dates are currently posted on the CVA website.
All times listed below are Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
Tuesday, March 5 at 9 AM - Tuesday, May 21 at Noon

1. You must present a photo ID at check-in. Accepted forms of identification are school ID, StudentVue app with photo, driver’s license, passport, and yearbook.
2. Students who arrive after testing has begun cannot be admitted to the testing room and will not be tested. The arrival time is TBA for the morning sessions and TBA for the afternoon sessions.
3. Per District guidelines, students that do not take the EOC at the scheduled time will be issued a grade of zero and that grade will be calculated into the students final course grade. Students will then need to contact their local school when they return in the Fall to schedule a make-up EOC exam. Once the make-up exam is completed and the score is returned from the State, the final course grade will be recalculated and posted to the student's transcript.
